Within the Marketing Group, the Online Partner Marketing Team is responsible for driving new subscribers through affiliates, corporate partners and emerging connected channels such as virtual economies. It spans web, social, mobile and application based platforms for both the domestic and international businesses. Although small, this team is a significant and growing source of new starts and company profitability. It prides itself on being strategically innovative and aggressive, yet analytically disciplined and focused on making smart tradeoffs that pay off for the business.
The Role:
Reporting to the Director of Online Partner Marketing, this person will be a member of a small, yet strong team responsible for Netflix’s efforts to drive new customer acquisition through performance based online marketing campaigns. S/he will manage the International Netflix Affiliate Channel and International Corporate Partnerships.
Responsibilities include:
Be the single, day-to-day point of contact for all existing partners, vendors and internal stakeholders for performance based marketing efforts.
Manage the onboarding, strategic planning, and tactical execution of new partners and vendors.
Own acquisition forecasting and performance analysis.
Identify of new growth opportunities for both established and new channels.
Perform competitive and landscape analysis for existing and target international geographies.
Manage partners, prices and campaign tactics to optimize ROI in a rapidly changing budget environment.
Requirements:
Affiliate Management:
3-7 years managing the affiliate channel for a consumer focused online company or within an online agency managing these accounts.
Expertise managing channels through strategic partnerships including publisher networks and affiliate vendors.
Deep understanding of online advertising, including pricing structures (CPM, CPC, CPA, CPL), media types (e.g., banners, skyscrapers, box ads, email newsletters) and technical integrations (RSS Feeds, APIs).
Expertise managing campaigns across a wide range of consumer platforms including web, social networks, and mobile.
The ideal candidate will have launched affiliate channels for new geographies and been intimately involved in partner/vendor selection and remote vendor management.
Corporate Partnerships:
A proven ability to grow the business through strategic partnerships with large, national brands.
Comfortable participating and managing the full partnership lifecycle including business development, contract negotiation, partner onboarding and day to day management.
Analytics:
A proven history of using analytics and reporting to drive business decisions. Must be comfortable envisioning and building reports/dashboards to enhance the understanding of the channel and keep stakeholders informed.
Experience partnering with technical resources in Marketing Finance and the Business Information Team to build complicated, multivariate models that provide optimization opportunities at the campaign and publisher levels.
Direct experience with A/B test design, multivariate testing, and data-driven channel optimization.
Strategic Business Management:
The ideal candidate will have helped directly build and manage international marketing channels.
Comfortable with international travel and working a time shifts schedule to manage our LatAm and UK efforts. This job will include 10-25% international travel.
Must be innovative and disciplined. It is critical that the current book of business continues to grow while also pioneering new marketing tactics. Fundamental to this is the ability to maintain a clear sense of relative impact and pursuing initiatives based holistic business opportunity based on cost / benefit tradeoffs.
Experience directly managing the forecast and budgetary process for multiple channels within a company that reforecasts on a frequent basis. Strong pluses if you have managed eight-figure budgets and/or have managed large international programs from a centralized point.
Must be capable of becoming an expert on our product and competition for all markets in which we compete. This includes performing competitive and landscape analysis for existing and target international geographies.
Must be able to communicate effectively across organizational levels and departments including Business Intelligence, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Brand and Engineering.
Skills and Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects effectively.
Comfortable working in a high efficiency work environment where results are paramount and people take ownership for their actions and decisions.
Highly skilled across all Microsoft Office products.
Experienced with Social Media.
