EVB, of San Francisco –is looking for a senior level PHP developer to take on a few exciting freelance projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience creating a variety of data driven projects using LAMP stack. He or she will be familiar with and excited to develop data-driven web solutions on PHP frameworks (ideally Yii) and open source CMS systems (WordPress, Drupal, Expression Engine, etc); but be undeterred when the need arises to create an application from the ground up.

DEVELOPMENT
- Interest in pushing what is possible on the web, tuned into new technologies and techniques
- Ability to lead a tech team though excellence in development. Solid software architecture skills, with emphasis on browser side code, but facility with server side
- Coding required as well; need to have a solid foundation in PHP and be able to translate ideas into reality with the Yii framework.
- Comfortable with all aspects of development from database queries to markup

CREATIVE CHOPS
- Deep interest in product- drive to creatively balance user experience with business goals
- Respect of the evolution of the web, and a strong knowledge of what has been tried, what works, and what doesn’t.
- Ability to communicate clearly through wireframes and user flows
- Respect for communicating information

REQUIRED SKILLS

- Extensive experience developing scalable web solutions with PHP and MySQL.
- Strong Knowledge of OOP programming and design patterns.
- Strong knowledge of front-end UI technologies including: HTML/CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency designing and working with relational databases such as MySQL.
- Experience with MVC architecture.
- Understanding of web servers, and infrastructure.
- Experience communicating with non-technical disciplines and stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, leadership experience, ability to take ownership.
