Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounting Team. The successful candidate will take initiative to solve or maintain complex tasks that are routinely done and have the ability to complete task under minimum supervision.

The position will report to the Controller and have the following responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Monthly and Annual close process including preparation of journal entries, monthly accruals, related reports, and account reconciliations
• Analyze selected budget to actual reports (T&E, S&M)
• Responsible for monthly Search Engine Marketing (SEM) reconciliations
• Responsible for Cash Management, wire payments, account transfers, bank reconciliations, including cash forecasting
• Perform the accounting for Debt and related covenant reporting
• Participate with Finance Team concerning A/P function, including 1099 preparation.
• Prepare a variety of financial statements, reports and analysis, timely and accurately
• Assist in the Budget process, producing schedules and forecast reports
• Participate in the Annual Audit, providing selected supporting schedules
• Support Internal Control maintenance and assist in creating and setting up processes that maintain and/or improve the daily operations within the Accounting/Finance Department
• Act as back-up for other Senior Accountant on revenue recognition and/or other tasks as needed
• Perform other duties and special projects as requested

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
• Four years + experience in a Media / Internet company is a plus
• GL experience with small company, such as SAGE Platinum (a plus), Great Plains, or other financials application software (i.e. Intacct, Netsuite)
• Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills including creation of Pivot Tables and use of SUMIFS and VLOOKUP functions
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP
• Ability to compile, analyze and interpret financial data clearly
