Extranomical Adventures is a growing San Francisco based sightseeing tour company, specializing in small van and mini-bus (15 to 36 Passengers) tours to Muir Woods, Wine Country, Monterey, Yosemite National Park and the Northern California area. We are currently looking to hire several motivated knowledgeable Seasonal Expedition Leaders. Expedition Leaders that excel may be asked to apply for permanent long-term positions at the end of the season.

Our Expedition Leaders get to meet people from all over the world, while enjoying the beauty of Yosemite, Muir Woods, Wine Country, Monterey and the SF Bay Area. Tour Leaders drive 15-passenger vans and 25-36 passenger mini-buses while providing informative friendly commentary. Our Tour Leader-Guides are more than just drivers, they take pride in facilitating once in a lifetime adventures for our guests.

We are interested in serious candidates that have a Class B commercial license and meet all or at least most of the following qualifications. Exceptional candidates will be considered for training, but this could take 2-6 weeks depending on DMV appointment availability.

Candidate Qualifications

- Class B commercial vehicle license with 36+ passenger endorsement.
- 22 years of age or older.
- 3 Yrs commercial driving experience and clean driving record (no moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years).
- Must be comfortable talking in front of people and leading a group.
- Must be able to change a tire (15 passenger van tires are heavy).
- Must be drug tested (state law requirement)
- Must be willing to maintain driving/tour records and follow company procedures and policies.
- Tour guide experience, travel, tourism or hospitality study and/or a foreign language are positively viewed
- CPR &/or First Aid Training
- Must be personable, social, a team player, like talking, friendly, flexible with hours and reliable!
- Must be able to work weekends!
- Must be available full time in the summer 5-6 tours per week depending on tour frequency. Winter season (December to February) 3-5 tours per week.

- Compensation: is on a per trip basis: Yosemite Tours $ 155 to $ 280 (DOE and on number of passengers) plus up to $ 15 reimbursement for meals plus tips*; Muir Woods & Wine Country Tours $ 100 to $ 160 (DOE and on number of passengers) plus tips*. Drivers may also qualify for monthly customer service and annual bonuses. * Tips vary depending on tour type, number of passengers and other factors but should average $ 50 to $ 100 for Van Tours and $ 100 to $ 200 for Bus Tours.
